The Scientific- Consultative Board meeting at the Supreme Court of Georgia

On December 22, the Scientific- Consultative Board’s regular meeting was held in the Supreme Court of Georgia in the civil law direction. The issue of discussion was problems related to interim measure in the common courts practice.
At the meeting Court Practice Research and Generalization Department of the Supreme Court presented the results of the practice studies on seizure disputes of Tbilisi City and Appellate Courts, also the Administrative and Civil Chambers of the Supreme Court.
On the board’s session also the presentation was carried out by the association of law firms on the draft amendments of “Civil Procedural Code” that envisages the legislative proposals with respect to interim measures.
The session was underway in active discussion mode. The meeting was attended by the judges of the common courts, lawyers, also the representatives of the National Bureau of Enforcement.
The board’s session was headed by the deputy chairperson of the Supreme Court and the chairperson of the civil chamber Mzia Todua.
