In the Supreme Court of Georgia the presentation of the book “Commentary of the Criminal Procedure Code” was held

On the first of December 2015, the US State Departments Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs (INL), "American Bar Association Rule of Law Initiative" (ABA/ROLI) jointly submitted to the Supreme Court the latest published commentary of the Criminal Procedure Code (CPC).
The audience were greeted: The Chairperson of the Supreme Court of Georgia and High Council of Justice – Nino Gvenetadze; Ambassador of the United States of America to Georgia, Ian Kelly; The US State Departments Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs, Senior Police Advisor Michael Turner; Chief Prosecutor of Georgia Irakli Shotadze; The First Deputy Minister of Justice, Alexander Baramidze; Chairman of the Georgian Bar Association Zaza Khatiashvili and member of the Constitutional Court, the co-author of CPC comments Lali Phaphiashvili.
For US government one of the major priorities still remains to support Georgia in the reform of the rule of law and the Criminal Procedure Code (CPC) presents the cornerstone of this process. American Bar Association (ABA) introduced to the audience the Commentary of the Criminal Procedure Code, which has been elaborated as a result of one years task of the working group composed by the judges, prosecutors, advocates and representatives of academic circles.
