The Judges

The President and the judges of the Supreme Court of Georgia shall be elected for a period of not less than ten years by the Parliament by the majority of the number of the members of Parliament on the current nominal list upon the submission of the President of Georgia.

The Chairman of the Supreme Court is entitle to submit to the President of Georgia candidate judges to be elected at the Supreme Court of Georgia and the President is authorized to submit the candidates to the Parliament, who meet the requirements of the Constitution and the Organic Law “On Common Courts of Georgia”, for the election.

Judge of the Supreme Court may be nominated for the election on the same position only twice before the Parliament of Georgia.
