Judges Self-governance

According to the Organic Law of Georgia “On Common Courts”, Judges Conference of Georgia is the self-governance organ of common courts of judges of Georgia. The Conference of Judges is composed of the judges of the Supreme Court, Courts of Appeal and District (City) Courts.

The aim of the Conference of Judges is to protect and strengthen the independence of the court authority, support the people’s trust and belief in the courts and heighten the judges’ authority.

The Conference of Judges in its activity is guided by the Constitution of Georgia and Legislation of Georgia, Charter and Regulation of the Conference of Judges.

The Charter and Regulation of the Conference of Judges of Georgia, defining the main principles of the conference work, is approved by the majority of the listed Judges of Georgia by an official application of the High Council of Justice.
